James Albert Ohl, 86, of Cincinnati, OH passed away on July 26, 2023. “Jim – or Jimmy”, son of Albert and Elberta Ohl, loving husband of Janice L Ohl was at Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, OH when he lost his battle with Cancer.

Jim met the love of his life, Janice, when they were at a very young age and married her on August 20, 1961. They shared nearly 63 loving years together and had four wonderful children.

Jim was a “I know a guy” type of person.  If you needed anything he was there for you no matter what. Whether it be a ride, helped to move, or a beer from the porch fridge.  He loved to sit out on the porch with his loving wife every night. Jim was a longtime member and trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mt. Healthy, OH.

Left behind to cherish Jim’s memory is his loving family, wife, Janice; son, James (wife Tami), three daughters, Lisa, Sandra and Deborah (husband Wes); nine grandchildren – Nicholas Farkas, Jeremy and Lindsie Ohl, Brandon, Sean, Jasmine and Alexis Fitzpatrick, Arron Mootry, Jurnee Kuhlmann and six great grandchildren – Jaiden, Mariah, Damien, Alaina, Kamari and Kaliyah Fitzpatrick, all living in the Cincinnati area. He is also survived by his Aunt Marty, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – until time of funeral service (12:30 pm), Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, with Pastor Charles Hillman officiating.  Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park.

Our heartfelt love and gratitude to Jim’s very special medical support team from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Mercy West Hospital and Jewish Kenwood who made his life comfortable.
