John J Bultman, age 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 with his loving companion Paulette by his side.
He was born on January 12, 1949 in Osgood, Indiana to the late Keith and Ruthie Bultman. He later moved to Cincinnati where he graduated in 1967 from Greenhills High School.
John married his first love of his life Susan Flake on May 18, 1974 and they were married for 35 years until her untimely passing. He worked hard to support his family and instilled a strong work ethic that lives on in his children today. John had a passion and talent for fixing cars and opened his own repair shop where he was a trusted resource to so many for their vehicle needs. He worked hard and lived by the motto “attitude is everything”. He was an inspiration to many with his humor and optimism. Even while having a demanding business, he always made it home for dinner, helped with homework and coaching and made time to be an amazing husband and father.
After the passing of his wife, God knew the right time to intervene and sent him Paulette. They spent 10 wonderful and inseparable years together, along with their beloved beagles, Izzy, Bella and Lily and Tom the cat. A match truly made in Heaven.
John fought a 19 year battle with multiple myeloma defying odds and shocking doctors many times. He remained vigilant and determined in his fierce fight to the very end.
John is survived by his siblings, Ron (Sharon) Bultman, Don (Kathy) Bultman, Dan (Cindy) Bultman and Kris (Michelle) Bultman; in-laws, George (Debbie) Flake; His beloved children, Benjamin (Karen) Bultman and Allison (Suzanne) Miller-Bultman; grandchildren, Clara, Brenden, Maren and Kelen Bultman; His loving companion, Paulette Helm; her children and grandchildren, Alicia, Emma and Corbin Essert and Elizabeth and Cole Ullum; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and loving family and friends.
