Kerry Lee (Schrichte) Maston

Death leaves a void nobody can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal..  

     On Monday, March 28, 2022, Kerry Lee (nee Schrichte) Maston, 69, loving wife and mother of two, lost her long fought battle with cancer.  Kerry was born in Hamilton, Ohio.   She graduated from Badin High School in 1971 and worked at several Hamilton establishments, among them, Ohio Casualty Group, and First National Bank.  On August 17, 1991, she married her beloved, William "Bill" Maston.  Kerry has two children, Julie Danielle (nee Shelley) McGurie, and Jeffery Ryan Shelley, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.  She has one grandson, Samuel Glenn McGurie.  She also has a step daughter, Jessica Rene' Reiter, of Pennsylvania, two step-grandchildren, Kane Maston and Kyla Spivey, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and one step-great grandson, Kanyan Maston, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
    Kerry had a passion for children and telling them about the love of Jesus.  She and Bill taught Junior Church at Fairfield West Baptist Church, organized and participated in Angle Tree and Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.  She and her husband, Bill, would dress as Mr. and Mrs. Clause, for Breakfast With Santa, at the Cheviot Road YMCA to the delight of the children there.
    Kerry loved to play games, especially with family.  With such a sharp wit she was hard to beat.  Did someone say, BINGO?!  Kerry had a wonderful laugh, and loud.  She never held back with her humor.
    Kerry is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Glenn and Alice Ethel (nee McAfee) Schrichte,  She is survived by her sister, Barbra Lynn (nee Schrichte) Johnson and her husband, John Johnson, of Hamilton, Ohio, and her brother, Kenneth Louis Schrichte and his wife, Karen, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held Tuesday, April,5th, at Fairfield West Baptist Church, 5345 Muskopf Rd. Fairfield, Ohio.  Visitation is from 10:30 to 12:30 with funeral at 12:30.  Kerry asked that there be no flowers, but that a memorial contribution be made to, Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.
