Kyle "Richard" Hicks

Kyle Richard Hicks, "Richard", age 75, of Fairfield, Ohio, died on Friday, May 10, 2019.
He was born on March 12, 1944, to Elmer and Beatrice (Cooley) Hicks in Tallahassee, Florida, and grew up in North College Hill, Ohio.

He married his soulmate, Rose (Sheehy) Hicks, on April 4, 1970.

Richard graduated from North College Hill High School in 1962 where he played basketball and baseball. He was also a member of the pep band and dance band playing the slide trombone.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown College in Kentucky in 1966 with a triple major and an emphasis in science. He was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Richard was employed by Procter & Gamble for 33 years beginning in 1966. He worked in the Miami Valley and Sharon Woods offices as a Clinical Monitor in pharmaceuticals.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by his wife Rose (Sheehy) Hicks, daughters Mindy Carter (Jeff) and Laura Zaremski (Brent), grandchildren Adam and Braden (Zaremski) and Ben and Marie (Carter), his brother Hugh Hicks, life-long friend Tom Hannon (Kate), and many dear family and friends.

Richard will forever be remembered for his big smile, infectious laugh and kind, welcoming presence.

Visitation will be held at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH 45014, on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., followed by a brief prayer service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. The family will welcome guests after graveside services, for an informal gathering to celebrate Richard's life at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, OH 45014.  The family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com
