Lee Ann Schmitz Obituary

Lee Ann Schmitz, 62, of Hamilton passed away peacefully at her home on July 27, 2021, in the company of her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Sgt. James E. and Mary Jane (née Kraft) Schmitz. She was raised in Lindenwald and graduated from Fairfield High School. She cherished her time spent and many friends made while employed for PowerNet Global for many years. She ended her career at ESCO Technologies, where she frequently spoke about the connections she made with residents of  Bethany Village, assisted living.

Lee Ann is survived by her children, Sarah (Neil), Chris (Bridget), her only grandson Evan, her partner Jeffrey Abplanalp, and their award-winning hunting dogs, Ryder and Moses Ray. She leaves behind her brothers Steve (Cynthia) and Neil (Tiffani) Schmitz, many nephews, step-son George Gentry Jr., and lifelong neighbors JC and Jana Roberts.

Lee Ann loved the time she spent traveling  with Jeff to compete in dog hunting competitions. She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson as part of the Lady Riders Against Cancer.
