Marcella Maxwell Chamberlain, age 96, went to be with Jesus on April 3, 2021. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Cincinnati, to Rudolph Neff Maxwell, Sr. and Fannie McCollough Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemoyne Roy Chamberlain, to whom she married in 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Rudolph Neff Maxwell, Jr. and Irving McCollough Maxwell (her twin).
Marcella is survived by her sister, Loraine Maxwell Walters (Ronald); one sister-in-law: Mary M. Maxwell (Irving); two nephews and one niece: Thomas H. Walters, Rhonda E. (Walters) Morrison, and Craig A. Maxwell; and three great-nephews and three great nieces.
Marcella worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper for Swallen’s department store in Cincinnati. She was committed to her church, and in her younger years she sang in the church choir. She was devoted to and cared deeply for her family. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ.
Arrangements entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, Oxford, MI, and Avance Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. A private family graveside service and burial will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
