Mindy Gail Italiano

Mindy Gail Italiano passed away on Monday, March 1, after a valiant fight against ovarian cancer. She was 65 years old and had recently retired from the post office.  A graduate of Fairfield High School, Mindy was a faithful letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 47 years.

Mindy devoted her life to God and served the community of Hamilton as a Sunday School and Children’s Church teacher for most of her adult life impacting countless lives through her love of Christ. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and was a member of the Butler County Sportsmen Rifle and Pistol Club. 

Mindy loved her family and her dear friends. She was godmother to and helped raise Luke Day (Trisha) and Whitney Day, as well as her grand godchildren Jay and Norah Day, children and grandchildren of her longtime friend Debbie Day. She was greatly loved, and truly one of a kind. Mindy will be missed by her sisters, Linda Kroon Van Diest and Susie LeRoy (Bob), her nieces Cari Feder (Erik), Lindsey Dreyer (Michael), Allison Stringer (Joe) and her nephew Christopher LeRoy, as well as her great nieces and nephews Zachary, Jacob and Katie Feder, Ashlyn, Sophia and Eli Dreyer and Jameson, Jaxson and Ava Stringer. Mindy is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Betty Italiano. She is also survived by her beloved dogs Buttons and Bo.

A celebration of her life will be held at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield on Sunday, March 7, at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton Dream Center’s children’s ministry.
