Paul Rye was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart and devoted father to their 2 boys. To say he was a one of a kind man is an understatement. His wit and humor would light a room, even an online chat room, and bring a smile to so many!! At the same time you always knew where you stood with him. If you were out of line or treating someone unfair or on the wrong track he would be the first to jump in and tell you as much! Yet, he could even berate or correct someone in a way that no one else could and they'd still have a smile on their face (unless he was REALLY upset). To watch him work his magic was sometimes jaw dropping. He was an avid gun collector who enjoyed talking guns, "blowing stuff up" and also teaching gun safety & gun care to others. He enjoyed classic cars whether working on them, talking about them for hours or going to car shows. On the flip side he was a very compassionate man and an animal lover. His pets were also his "buddies". Overall, If you met Paul once, you'd never forget him. If you needed anything and he could help, he would...even to his own detriment at times. He had more friends and people that loved him than even he knew. His favorite verse highlighted in his Bible app was James 2:17 "...Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." This was how Paul lived life and in return touched people all across the country, even those he never met face to face. Paul will be sorely missed and as heaven gains an angel we weep until we will see him again.
