Rita Joan (Hampton) Lindsay

Rita Joan Lindsay, age 81, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on November 3, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Rita was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 2, 1941 and was the daughter of A.B. and Mary Hampton and has a brother – Gary Hampton.

Rita was married to Myrl Lindsay in May of 1960.  

Rita and Myrl have three children – Rob Lindsay (Kathleen), Diane Lindsay and Mary Lindsay-Rolfes (Dave) all who live in the local area; Grandchildren – Robert Jones (Dot), Dean Hampton Robbers (Macy Mullenix) – West Union, OH, William Troy Robbers – Peebles, OH, Kaitlyn Lindsay, Rachael Lindsay, Nicolas Shaw & Jennifer Schulte.  Great-Grandchildren – Hayleigh Jones, Kyleigh Jones, Camilla Lindsay, Rylee Lindsay & Scarlett Shaw.

Rita attended Notre Dame High School in Hamilton, Ohio and spent most of her working career in the data processing field as a computer programmer analyst at Champion Papers, in Hamilton.  She also ventured into the real estate field working for Sirk Realty. Rita was an avid reader and she enjoyed working at the Lane Public Library in Fairfield for 5 years.

Rita loved the beach.  Myrl and Rita made many trips to the gulf coast of Florida.  Venice beach and Sanibel Island were favorite spots to visit.

Rita – “Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister” will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. – until time of a short Celebration of Life (6:30 p.m.), Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH   45104.
