Thomas Joseph Luensman, 81, died on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Imogene Luensman and his brother Jerry Luensman. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Bunny (Shelton) Luensman, his children Mark (Carol) Luensman, Susan (Dale) Ventling, David Luensman and John Luensman, his grandchildren Austin (Amanda) Ventling, Jessica (Jake) Elmlinger, Ben Ventling, Alec Luensman, Kaitlyn Luensman, Kyle Luensman, Danielle Muench, Tommy and Noah Luensman and his great grandchildren Lilly Luensman Hardin, Silas Luensman, Penelope Ventling and Clay Elmlinger and extended family and many close friends.
Tom was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and later moved to Fairfield, Ohio where he resided for the past 51 years. Tom owned a Marathon dealership in Fairfield for 12 years. His love of cars and being an excellent mechanic opened the doors for him to start his own business (Tom’s Auto Service) and of course fix all of his kids and grandkids cars anytime they needed him. He later retired from the Maintenance Department at Cincinnati Financial Corporation. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield.
Tom adored his wife, Bunny, their 4 children and their spouses, his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He loved sports – especially watching his kids and grandkids play them. He absolutely loved baseball and of course his favorite team was the Cincinnati Reds.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, c/o The Fairfield Community Foundation, 5350 Pleasant Ave., Fairfield, OH 45014.
