William H. Braun

BRAUN
William H. age 83, of Fairfield, OH, died on January 15, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. Mr. Braun was born on December 14, 1929 in Hamilton to Adam E. and Flora (nee Olnhausen) Braun. He attended Hamilton High School, graduating in 1947. He was a 1951 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Mr. Braun served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict; employed by Proctor and Gamble for 42 years and consulted for the company for seven more years in the government Weights and Measures department thus making friends across the U.S.
Bill married Sally Jacobs on September 20th, 1958; they enjoyed 54 years of marriage. To this union were born two daughters. Bill was devoted to his family and was active in his daughters' music and swimming programs. He became a National Swim Official and was well regarded in officiating local, state, and national swim competitions. He loved golf and played at Clovernook County Club. Bill was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church serving as Elder, Deacon, and most recently; teaching Bible study at Northminster for over 30 years. He served on the Board of the YMCA for many years and Forest Park Council in the late 60's.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Sally; loving daughters Katherine J. (John) Pennell and Susan M. Duggar; grandchildren, Cynthia (Joshua) Stubenvoll, Melissa (Joseph) Brigner, Steven M. Duggar, and Lauren E. Duggar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a dear Aunt, Edna Evans.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati 45231. Funeral services will commence at 3:30 p.m. at the church.
