William “Bill” Meyer was a legendary husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend. He left our lives unexpectedly on November 4, 2022 at the age of 71. Bill was born to William and Mary Meyer on September 11, 1951. After graduating from LaSalle High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After serving, he earned a degree from the University of Cincinnati. Bill enjoyed a long and successful career in the mortgage industry and retired from General Electric Credit Union. After retirement he pursued his true passions of fishing, hunting, traveling and most importantly, his family. There was nothing Bill loved more than his family. He was married to the love of his life and soulmate, Marianne, for over 47 years. Together, they raised three daughters; Stacy (Dave), Angie (Matt), and Jenny (Tony). The love that he shared with his grandkids; Derek, Bryson, Dominic, LeAna, Alison, and Kris will forever be cherished. He is also survived by his four younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts that we will never be able to fill. But in the words of Bill Meyer, “No one’s getting out of this world alive.” Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at Avance Funeral Home (4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014). A Catholic mass will follow on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014). In lieu of flowers, his family has requested donations be made to your favorite charity in his name.
