When I came into the Samad family in 1961, Joyce was so very kind and I enjoyed our many conversations. My prayers are coming your way from San Angelo TX.

Sherry, as you know, I only had the pleasure of meeting your mother a few times over the years, but I know how special she was to you and the kids.  She was a lovely woman and raised a wonderful, caring family and my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.

Mike and children, I love and cherish all of you.  Joyce (Doody) was so special and I love my only sister dearly. She never sits still. Always like a bee; never idle. A great gourmet cook, great seamstress, and a wonderful eye for decorating plus a successful professional person.

Mike, you are a wonderful, loving and caring husband.  You two are the perfect match until death.  My memories are sweet and tender as I listen to you tell how you met; how you immediately fell in love with her and how your love grew with passing years.

Mike: You and Joyce had many happy years together. Now Joyce is in a new body in Paradise waiting for us to join her. I have many happy memories of her and Jane growing up on Hatmaker Street. I know that you also will cherish many happy memories of your life together.

I had to smile when I read Joyce ("Doody") (who knew?) Lawrence in the obituary.  Joyce and I met many years ago at Chemed and became immediate best friends.  We loved the annual trips (25+ years) with our wonderful (crazy, admittedly) "Koochie Pops" girl friends.  We traveled to great places, but the important thing about these trips was the fun we all had together.

Thanks for the memories, Joyce, which I'll cherish and enjoy my entire life.

Mike, we are truly sorry to learn about Joyce's passing.  It just seems like yesterday when I saw the two of you go down that aisle many years ago.  So happy.  Today Joyce goes down another aisle as she joins God.  For so many years while she fought that terrible disease, you were there to assist, provide comfort and the love that she needed.  During this time please know that we will send our prayers for you and the family's comfort.  Joyce was special and I know like me always strived for perfection.  She has now gone to a perfect place.  Hang in there!  God Bless.  Calvin
